Well I'm voting for Nader!
I watched the 2 leaders debate on the CBC and was pretty unimpressed. 4 white guys yaking at each other; yesterday in french, today in policy and rhetoric (which I believe are Ottawa's 2 official languages). Going in, I was prepared to give the PM a chance to win back my support.
He Failed.
After weeks of negative ads preying on our fears of some wacko-wannabee-yanks from Alberta running our country, I was getting tired. I wanted to see a man who I could support as our PM. I was never a huge fan of Chretien but I respected him as a leader Mr. Martin does not garner this respect. I saw a man with his back to the wall, concealing his guilt, and scratching for his life and a few more votes. My only problem is I do hold the fear of Harper's pro-US agenda. I don't want to be the vote for Ralph Nader that gave dubbya the white house!!!!
The good news is: the media people think Harper did not do enough to win a majority. Since we'll have an oligopoly on parliament hill, Harper and his gun toting yahoos won't be able to implement the harshest of the pro-US agenda. Therefore we'll be left with just the more centralist ideas, like tax relieve for families and smaller government. So I can freely vote NDP and not fear ICBM silos in my backyard! NADER! NADER!
Hey I could use the tax cut in a couple of years anyway :P
