Horse Racing

A little background:

1) I am a huge sports fan. I will watch just about any sport on TV.

2) I am a huge gambling fan. I will gamble on just about anything, I'm not putting next month's rent on the line, but I'm always down for a little action.

So it would stand to reason that I'd love any activity that seamlessly combines the beauty of sport with the excitement of gambling, a sport such as horse racing.... WRONG!

Horse Racing and the Triple Crown is an absolute abomination! It is months of lead up to less than two minutes of action it which the desired outcome of a Triple Crown winner hasn't happened in 30 years. It more anti-climactic than the Super Bowl.

First off it's not a sport! Horse Racing is a form of transportation before cars were invented!

Second it's animals racing!! Not humans! Not real people who work and sacrifice for years to reach the apex of their sport, but 3-year old animals who have been bred to run fast and don't know any better.

Third I can't stand the way the media tries to pass off the anorexic leprechauns who drive the horses as athletes. I heard the lollipop guild member who rides Smarty Jones (the triple crown contender) on two separate national radio shows this week! I mean I guess I should give him credit for conducting the interview in English, instead of his native Elvish, but I couldn't care less about what he has to say about anything!

So to conclude.... Horse racing sucks and jockeys are freaks! The End.
